Just like the Windows Insider program, Microsoft also offer facility to become an “Office Insider”. By uniting with such program you can get all the upcoming updates related to versions of Office apps for Windows 10 for instance, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint.
A source claims that Microsoft is testing some new features for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. In upcoming latest update, Insiders will get new theme setting for Office apps that allows them to match Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, with Windows 10 system settings.
As an illustration, if you use Windows 10 build-in dark theme then Word will automatically diverges to dark mode.
In this new update, Microsoft introduces a new features in which you can save different shapes as images then copy and paste the image in any presentations and documents.
It also means that now the option “Save as Picture” can be used to save shapes, charts, diagram, and text boxes. You can also save the images to the clipboard and paste them in PowerPoint presentation. This function is now available in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Additional users will also get new Editor pane in Microsoft Word which is helpful in keeping proper check on spell error and grammar suggestion.
For PowerPoint users, it is interested to know that now you can make your background transparent whenever you create a GIF within a presentation.
In order to make your background transparent, you need to navigate to Export panel and there you have to select the new “Make background Transparent” option.
Excel is programmed with new data visualizer add-in that helps in creating flow charts, organisation chart, etc. with Excel data. These charts can be viewed in Visio and you can also use other advance edition capabilities as well.
Microsoft Outlook will also launch new features like:
- New profile card
- Signatures in the cloud
- Integrated translator support
- Brush-up grammar and style suggestion
